The RM-30B reeling machine-launcher was developed to operate on modern fighter jet aircraft for the purpose of supporting both the short tow gunnery and long tow missile target missions using one reeling machine configuration.

The machine is a derivative of the RM-30A1 and RMK-35 machines combining the load capacity of the RMK-35 and the towline capacity and reeling speed of the RM-30A1and is powered by the same ram-air turbine.
